Essential Services Only

Great Falls, MT – Due to a surge in COVID-19 infections, Alluvion Health will be temporarily transitioning to essential services only on January 17th – 22nd, 2022. During this temporary closure, most services will transition to teleservices or be rescheduled. Alluvion Health’s Pharmacy and Dental Clinic will remain open to the public. Normal operations will resume on January 24, 2022. The decision was made to ensure the continued safety of Alluvion Health staff and patients, with as little interruption to clinical services as possible.

All patients with existing appointments have been notified of the temporary closure. Alluvion Health staff is making every effort to ensure as little disruption to our patient population as possible. Anyone experiencing a medical emergency should call 911 and/or seek emergency medical care.

“This new surge of the COVID-19 Omicron variant needs to be taken very seriously,” said Trista Besich, CEO of Alluvion Health. “We ask that the community consider the wide-reaching consequences this transition places upon our most vulnerable populations. Please avoid public gatherings when possible, wear a high-quality, properly-fitted mask at all times in public spaces, observe social distancing whenever possible, and practice proper hygiene, including proper hand-washing and avoidance of shared surfaces.”

Alluvion Health’s COVID-19 testing site will remain open to the public with no change in services. All of Alluvion Health’s COVID-19 testing takes place at the Family Living Center in the Montana Expo Park located at 400 3rd St. NW. Testing is available Monday – Friday from 10 am – 6 pm and Saturday from 9 am – 2 pm.

Alluvion Health will continue to hold community vaccine clinics on January 15th from 11 am – 3 pm at the Holiday Village Mall (1200 10th Ave. S) and January 26th from 2 pm – 6 pm at Paris Gibson Education Center (2400 Central Ave).

Per Cascade City-County Health, local hospitals and clinics are overburdened with the increasing case numbers. Although you should seek medical care if your symptoms are severe, minor symptoms should be treated at home if possible – drink plenty of fluids, take fever-reducing medication such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), wash your hands often and sanitize surfaces, wear a mask if you must be around others, and stay home other than to get tested. Testing promptly to rule out a COVID-19 infection is also advised before seeking medical treatment.
